Basingstoke Bison Set To Return To The NIHL For 25/25
The Planet Ice NIHL National Division is delighted to confirm the return of the Basingstoke Bison to the league for the 2025/26 season.
Following a two-season absence from competitive play, the Bison are set to rejoin the league with a fresh vision and new leadership. The club will operate under the new ownership team of seasoned hockey executive Steve Nell and respected local businessman Rob Firmin.
The return of the Bison marks a significant moment for both the town of Basingstoke and the wider British ice hockey community. As one of the sport’s most recognisable names, the Bison bring history, tradition, and a passionate fanbase back into the fold, further strengthening the competitive landscape of the Planet Ice NIHL National Division.
