Sheffield Steeldogs Sign Nathan Salem!

After spending the previous year on the sidelines through injury, the experienced forward is set to rejoin the league with a point to prove and a reputation already well established at this level.

Salem is no stranger to Sheffield, having previously iced for the Steeldogs between 2018 and 2021, and his return brings both familiarity and proven quality back into the line-up.

His most recent full season in 2024/25 underlined exactly what he is capable of, producing an impressive 54 points in 51 games. That level of consistency and offensive output highlights the impact he can make when fully fit, adding further depth to the league’s forward talent pool.

Now back to full fitness, Salem will be aiming to pick up where he left off and quickly reassert himself as a key attacking presence. His comeback adds another experienced and high-impact player into the NIHL mix, strengthening competition across the league as teams continue to build towards what promises to be an exciting 2026/27 campaign.
