At a face-off at centre ice, Solway #24 ignored the puck, dropped his gloves and grabbed Telford #23 who was an unwilling combatant. This is subject to Rule 46.7: "A major penalty and automatic game misconduct penalty shall be assessed to a Player who punches an unsuspecting or 'unwilling combatant/opponent' (i.e. 'sucker punch') that could cause an injury". Whilst few punches were thrown, the penalty was called as required.
