NIHL Week 18 Review!
Another week of jam-packed hockey in the NIHL. Here is your mini review for each game from last weekend:

Swindon Wildcats 6-3 Sheffield Steeldogs

Starting with the top of the table clash as the Wildcats extended their lead over the 2nd placed Steeldogs. Six different scorers for the Cats with Reed Sayers scoring the game winner. 

Basingstoke Bison 1-5 Hull Seahawks

The Seahawks secured a comfortable away victory against a depleted Bison side with only 11 players on the night. Emil Svec scored a hat-trick on the night including the game-winner.

Bristol Pitbulls (OT) 6-5 Leeds Knights 

An absolute thriller at the Pound as the Pitbulls took down the Knights in overtime with Bayley Harewood getting the game-winning goal. This victory keeps the Pitbulls in a playoff spot. 

Solway Sharks 5-4 MK Lightning 

The Sharks took the first of the double header with a narrow victory. Carter Hamill carrying his goalscoring form by getting the game-winning-goal against his former team. 

Telford Tigers 3-4 (OT) Peterborough Phantoms 

A great battle between 4th and 5th which couldn’t be settled in 60 minutes. However, Cam Hough scored yet another goal to seal it in overtime, his 40th goal of the season. 

Leeds Knights 5-2 Bristol Pitbulls 

The Knights battled back from 2-0 down to score five unanswered with 17 year-old Edgars Vengis scoring a hat-trick, his first in professional hockey. 

Solway Sharks 4-5 (OT) Lightning 

The Lightning hit back with a 5-4 victory of their own. This time in overtime with Sean Norris netting the winner. However a three-point weekend for the Sharks who continue to try hunt down that playoff spot. 

Romford Raiders 4-1 Telford Tigers 

In their only game of the weekend, the Raiders secure a solid home victory with Jake Sylvester scoring twice on the night including the game-winner. 38/39 saves for Cole Ceci. 

Hull Seahawks 3-4 Swindon Wildcats

The Cats completed a four-point weekend and went seven points clear with still two games in hand with a big away win in Hull. Another four different goal scorers with Aaron Nell scoring the game-winner on the power play.

Peterborough Phantoms 5-3 Basingstoke Bison 

The Phantoms joined the Cats on getting a four-point weekend with a home ice win against the Bison. Dillon Lawrence with two goals on the night including the game-winner.
