Aaron Nell Set To Retire From Playing At The End Of The Season!
The Bespoke Guardians Swindon Wildcats would like to announce that Aaron Nell will retire from playing hockey at the end of the current 2025/26 season.
Aaron has been an integral part of the Wildcats organisation for 17 years, leading both on and off the ice. His commitment, passion, and leadership have helped shape the club’s identity and success over the past decade.
While Aaron will be hanging up his skates, his journey with the Wildcats is far from over. He will continue in his role as General Manager and Head Coach, guiding the next generation of players and driving the club forward into an exciting new chapter.
Aaron said:
“It’s been an incredible honour to play for the Swindon Wildcats and to represent this club, town, and fanbase. Hockey has been my life for as long as I can remember, and while it’s the right time for me to step away from playing, I’m excited to continue leading the team from behind the bench and focusing fully on coaching.”
To celebrate Aaron’s outstanding career, there will be a testimonial/retirement game on Saturday 25th April 2026 with full details to be released in the near future.
The entire Wildcats organisation thanks Aaron for his incredible contribution as a player and looks forward to his continued leadership as Head Coach.
