Luke Spadafora signs for the Basingstoke Bison!
The 24-year-old forward joins the Herd as an import player, bringing speed, skill, and a strong offensive presence to the Bison’s front line. Standing at 6’2” and weighing in at 185 lbs, Spadafora adds size to the Bison lineup.
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Spadafora most recently played for Trinity Western University in the highly competitive USports league in Canada. Spadafora’s combination of hockey IQ, right-handed shot, and offensive upside made him a key target for the Bison as we looked to bolster their attack ahead of the upcoming season.
Head Coach Jeff Flanagan is delighted with the signing "Luke spent four seasons at Trinity Western University in USport and finished his career as a player who saw action in all situations. At 6-foot-2, he brings good size and puck-moving skills on the wing, and we’re looking forward to seeing Luke’s positive impact with our group here in Basingstoke."
Luke is also delighted to be making the move and said “I am super excited and grateful for the opportunity to play in Basingstoke. I have heard nothing but great things and I can’t wait to play in front of the best fans in the league and become part of the Bison family.”
